The DSS-5000 HD KIT has been developed to cater to the needs of Heavy-Duty Commercial Truck and Fleet applications. Midtronics, the manufacturer, has incorporated an advanced load feature in this latest version, ensuring more precise readings than previous tools.

This innovative tool provides diagnostics for 12- and 24-volt battery packs, starters, and alternators. It is also designed to comply with RP 129, a Technology & Maintenance Council Recommended Practice for electrical system diagnostics. Additionally, the DSS-5000 HD KIT comes equipped with pre-programmed service applications, including test flows that conform to RP 129 standards, pack testing, and cable drop testing procedures. These features make testing more user-friendly, reducing the risk of errors.

Includes proprietary Midtronics Conductance Profiling™ technology that loads the battery to identify batteries with poor reserve capacity that may start the vehicle, but could fail to support vehicle accessories
Saves testing time by allowing user to test the battery pack while still assembled in the vehicle. If the pack looks questionable, then the tester will prompt the user to disconnect the pack to test each battery individually.
